This blog began in the fall of 2008 as a record of my experiences in Paris with the Nouveau Parti Anti-Capitaliste (NPA). I resume writing now, in February 2014, with the intention of commenting on the upcoming EU elections. I write from Boston with particular interest in France, Italy, and all the parties and movements in Europe that are trying to create a sustainable alternative to the impending capitalist catastrophe.

Somehow I had pictured you shlepping les gens jeunes around France, not out fomenting the fall of the capitalist state (although you're doing a pretty good job of it). Kudos to you. Your blog makes for some enjoyable reading, although I really don't have a lot of time right now as we get ready for the really big shew, chez Somerville Theater. I will be sending you an email shortly regarding some quick rehearsal when you return. We can discuss matters musical there.
